Our Creation Care ministry is overseen by the newly-formed Creation Care Committee (CCC). St. Bartholomew's has sought to reduce its waste through composting, using washable mugs, plates, and flatware at coffee hour and other events, and extensive recycling. Yet creation care is so much more than recycling and composting! The CCC is working on all sorts of ideas that impact our worship, formation, and facilities use—from training/education to bees to solar panels and community partnerships. 

Starting in August 2024, St. B’s will participate in a year-long cohort with other Nashville churches organized by the international ecumenical network A Rocha.

One of the easiest ways for parishioners to get involved is through helping with waste collection at church events. Contact Gretchen Abernathy to learn more!
