Dr. Beverly Mahan is the Head Verger and Rector’s Assistant for Liturgy. She serves in our Sunday and major worship services, organizes the acolytes and lay Eucharistic ministers, and works with the Rector and other staff members on designing worship. Bev moved to Tennessee from Florida to attend graduate school at Vanderbilt, and has been attending St. Bartholomew’s since her first Sunday in Nashville. Bev and Tom were married at St. B’s, both their children were baptized and confirmed at St. B’s, their daughter was married at St. B’s, and their three grandchildren were baptized at St. B’s. Bev played on several championship St. B’s softball teams, was a member of the music ministry, and now uses her psychology training in the verger ministry. She enjoys golf, pickleball, kayaking and hiking, often with folks from St. B’s.  Click here to reach Bev.
